Cake Smash Photos - for their "Little Bao"

This girl's mom had some amazing ideas for her cake smash photos. I loved bringing them to life with her. She shared with me during her consultation that they call her their little bao! So, we went with this cute bao theme for the shoot.

We used all pink and rose gold balloons, set out some bao steamer baskets, and bao cutouts for the background. The little dumpling cake topper is from Jenn at Sugar Friends! It was so cute on top of this cute pink smash cake. Vuthy from A Forgetful Baker's bakery is my go-to for smash cakes. She always does an amazing job!

One Year Photoshoot

Creating very unique, customized background set ups for cake smash photoshoots is one of my favorite ways to bring a little extra life and beauty to documenting a child's growth! The kiddos always enjoy the cake (I mean, who wouldn't?) and it is so sweet to have something to look back on as they grow up. You can see their personality forming and it is always a treasure to look back on that joy.

This little one was all smiles. She is the only kid I have ever seen eat almost all of her cake. She was full of love the entire session, she just had the time of her life.
